Explore, create, and experience the world—one week at a time.
Not just fun. Not just learning.
At KOA Summer School, children experience the world through immersive, story-driven learning.
Each week, we step into a new country and a new story—learning by becoming part of it.
KOA Summer School is not designed simply as a collection of activities.
Children engage with cultures, ways of life, and real-world issues from around the world—by experiencing them firsthand.
Instead of learning as information, they begin to understand through doing.
Through these experiences, questions naturally emerge.
Why does this happen?
What could be done differently?
Rather than being given answers, children begin to think for themselves.
That shift—from experiencing to understanding, and from understanding to questioning—
is at the core of KOA’s approach.

History, mystery, and discovery.
We travel back to Ancient Egypt, exploring history through papyrus making, Senet, and hands-on mummification.
But something isn’t right—a mummy has gone missing.
Children follow clues, solve puzzles, and work together to uncover what happened, leading to a final mystery challenge where everything comes together.
A slower, deeper way to experience culture.
This week slows things down with a calm and immersive journey into the world of Ceylon tea.
Children explore how tea is grown, picked, and prepared—discovering the journey from leaf to cup through hands-on experiences.
The week concludes with a tea gathering, where children experience not only tea itself, but also the culture of conversation, manners, and shared time.
Exploration, challenge, and teamwork.
We become explorers preparing for an expedition to Mount Everest, learning about the mountain and the realities of climbing.
Through a series of team challenges, children experience the importance of collaboration and the role of Sherpas in supporting the journey.
The week builds toward Summit Day, where each experience connects and the journey comes together as one.
Discipline, identity, and strategy.
We step into Ancient Rome for a week of movement, creativity, and discipline.
Through physical training, strategic challenges, and armor creation, children develop their own gladiator identity.
The week leads to the Colosseum, where children bring together their preparation, strategy, and teamwork in a final challenge.
From imagination to creation.
We step into a film studio inspired by early cinema, where children experience the full process of filmmaking—from story creation to costume design, performance, filming, and editing.
The week concludes with a final premiere, where children share and celebrate the films they have created together.
